Perfect Georgia Itinerary for 7 - 10 Days (The Country)

Georgia

Are you planning a trip to Georgia, the country that’s equal parts breathtaking and bewildering? You’ve landed in the right place. Georgia travel offers a mix of stunning landscapes and quirky experiences that’ll leave you awestruck—and, occasionally, frustrated.

While the cities in Georgia can be a hit or miss, with Tbilisi standing out as the exception, Georgia’s real magic lies in its nature. The countryside and mountains in Georgia are where you’ll encounter friendly cows, unspoiled beauty, and the charm that this country is known for.

In this guide, I’ve outlined a solid one-week itinerary for Georgia, along with an extended 10-day Georgia itineraryfor those who want to explore a bit more. This plan includes everything you’ll need: mapspricesopening hoursrecommended restaurants, and hotels. Trust me, choosing accommodations wisely is crucial here—it can make or break your Georgia trip.

I learned the hard way when one hotel in Georgia failed to change the sheets after the previous guest, shrugged off my complaints, and still expected me to pay. (Spoiler: I didn’t stay.) Finding a decent place to stay in Georgia for a reasonable price can be tricky, but I’ve done the legwork for you.

How Many Days Do You Need for Georgia?

Wondering how long to spend in Georgia? A week in Georgia is ideal for exploring the highlights, including Tbilisi, the Caucasus Mountains, and key cultural and natural landmarks.

If you’re an avid or even an aspiring hiker, consider spending 10 days in Georgia. The Caucasus Mountains are a must-see, offering some of the best hiking trails and scenic views in the region.

However, two weeks in Georgia might be overkill unless you have a specific interest in delving deep into its culture or exploring every corner. This isn’t a country where you’ll need an extended stay to appreciate its beauty.
